Hello out there. It's been awhile. So here's the deal...I need to get myself back on track in the healthy lifestyle department.
Short version of a long story... Spent 4-ish years working out like crazy. Pushed too hard. Broke foot 3 times in less than a year. Drifted away from my workouts. Realized that when I stop working out, I get a little bit squishy. Who knew? Donated kidney. Planned to bounce back from surgery and get back into serious fitness mode. Realized that I am lazy. Moved from TX to TN. Realized that the little bit squishy is now more like a lot a bit squishy. I've managed to do workouts here and there (hello yoga, hello boxing, hello rowing, hello random 5 minute workouts in my garage) but know from experience that if I want to make a change I need to plan and commit rather than just stumbling around and working out "when I feel like it". Guess what? I very rarely feel like working out. *Sigh* I want to hold myself accountable. I want to commit to a healthier lifestyle and thought this would be a good place to start that accountability. This blog was always meant to be a place for me to type up my thoughts and if no one else reads it, that's ok. Actually, in this case, I hope no one else does read this. My hope is that I will be able to "unpack" (jk, I hate the term "unpack" to describe an analysis) what works and what doesn't so that future me can look back and see the progress...and failures too. Hehe. I get about 10,000 visitors to this web page every year and have no idea who is out there reading this because I haven't posted anything in a loooooonnggggg time. So, if you are reading this, hello. Would you leave me a comment letting me know your favorite way to workout or your favorite fitness tip or your favorite character on Game of Thrones? That way I can be mortified by who is aware that I am on a fitness journey.....I hate the term fitness journey too....let's not call it that.
